Laffa Bread Recipe Yield: about 8 portions
Ingredients:
Whole Milk 2 cups
Yogurt 1⁄4 cup
Yeast 1 scant teaspoon
Olive Oil 2 teaspoons
AP flour 4 1⁄2 cups
Sugar 2 teaspoons
Kosher Salt 1 teaspoon
Baking Powder 1⁄2 teaspoon
Procedure:
1. Mix milk, yogurt, and yeast until well combined and dissolved. Add olive oil to the mix and
place it in a warm place for about 10 minutes.
2. Add dry ingredients to a medium bowl. Form a well and add warmed wet ingredients. Knead
until the dough comes together, about 10 minutes. Alternatively, in a stand mixer, combine
wet and dry ingredients and mix for 5 minutes on low speed. Increase to medium speed and
mix for an additional 3 minutes.
3. Portion the dough into 80g balls
4. Roll out and cook on hot gril
